There are two steps in the formation of fruit.
1.Pollination
2.Fertilization

Process of fertilization:

The pollen grain enters into the pollen sac and splits into two male gametes.
One is called vegetative cell and the other is called generative cell.
It enters the embryo sac which contains an egg and a secondary nucleus.
One male gamete fuses with egg and another gamete fuses with secondary nucleus.
Here two fusion takes place and hence it is called as Double fertilization.
This leads to formation of zygote.
This zygote undergo mitotic division.
The ovules form seeds and ovary forms fruit.

there are two steps involved in the formation of fruit:
1.Pollination:The process of transferring pollen grains from anther to stigma for fertilization.
2.Fertilization:The fusion of the male gamete and the female egg is called fertilization.
In this process,
When a pollen grain lands on a stigma it sends out a growth called the pollen tube which grows into the style and down the style to the ovary. THe pollen tube contains two male gametes. It then releases the male gametes after reaching the ovule, one of which fuses with the egg to form a zygote.
After fertilization, the ovary grows into the fruit and the ovules develop into seeds. Each seed contains an embryo. THe embryo is made up of a radicle (seed root), plumule (seed shoot) and one or two cotyledons which sometimes store the food.
