Double fertilisation is the process in angiosperms (flowering plants) in which two sperm from each pollen tube fertilise two cells in a female gametophyte (sometimes called an embryo sac) that is inside an ovule. This process is completed in the following steps :-When the pollen tube comes down from the stigma into the style , first of all vegetative nucleus enters into the pollen tube then it is followed by generative cell . The generative cell divides mitotically to form Two non motile male gamete .Pollen tube enter into the ovule through the egg apparatus . Any one synergid start degenerating when the pollen tube comes near the egg apparatus. The pollen tube enter into embryo sac through the degenerating synergid and when the tip of pollen tube enters into embryo sac Vegetative nucleus degenerate. The tip of the pollen tube swells and burst due to endosmosis after reaching inside the embryo sac . After the pollen tube released both the male gamete inside the degenerating synergid of embryo sac .Out of two, one male gamate fertilized with egg cell to form a diploid zygote . This fussion is called Syngamy . The second male gamate fused with diploid secondary nucleus(which is formed by the fusion of two polar nuclei ) . This fusion is called triple fusion resulting a triploid (3n ) structure is formed called primary endosperm nucleus (PEN).

Fertilizers work by providing essential nutrients to develop flowers. many fertilizers also improve the way the soil works by helping it to retain water. the nitrogen element in the fertilizer works by increasing the plants capacity to produce flowers. it also helps to increase the attractive appearance of the flower......
