proteins attain complex structure by undergoing formation of 3 initial structures:

1)1st level> it is the primary structure which consists of amino acids linked by peptide bonds

2)2nd level>it is the secondary structure which is of 2 types namely a)alpha helix b)beta pleated sheath. Here H bonds are also present. Check the structures once in net

3)3d levl>It is called globular protein and these are actually the enzymes that are used for various processes

4)4th lvl>it is formed by aggregation of 2 or more globular proteins. Ex:haemoglobin and insulin. It is the most complex form of protein.
