The process of hatching of egg is not a much complex one. when a hen lays the egg, it has nothing in it but a single cell called zygote in it's yolk's germinal disc which divides to form a sphere of cells called blastula. the yolk and egg albumen provides nutrition and protection to the germinal disc. the embryo( continuously fast dividing zygote) grows consuming the nutrition from the egg for the whole gastrulation period. then when the embryo turns into a full chick the egg hatches. the hen provides the required heat and protection to the egg.
