The procedure in which fibers of cotton are changed into yarn is known as 'spinning'.

  • This process cleans the large and short segments of fibers, and ultimately align the fibers by turning and spinning them.
  • The rollers in the spinning machine pass the fiber through the eyelet, which elongates the fiber and then passed onto the traveler. The traveler spins about 4,000-12,000 times in one minute.
  • The bobbin also moves at a certain speed. The twisting and winding bring the fibers conjointly to make yarn.
