Oesophagus:-Passes food to stomach by peristaltic movements
Stomach:-Contains gastric glands which releases HCl,pepsin and mucus.HCl makes the medium acidic and activates pepsin enzymes and also kills germs.Pepsin converts proteins into peptides and peptones.Mucus protects the inner lining of stomach to get in contact with HCl.
Liver:-Secretes bile juice which makes the medium alkaline and also activates pancreatic enzymes and helps in the emulsification of fats.
Pancreas:-Secretes pancreatic enyme which converts starch into sugar,proteins into peptides and peptones and fats to fatty acid and glycerol.
Small Intestine:-Contains maltose peptidase which converts maltose into glucose.It also contains villi which increases area for absorption.
Large Intestine:-It only absorb water
