✨Phagocytosis:

◼Phagocytosis is the process by which single celled phagocytes engulf other particles into them.

◼The phagocyte could be a unicellular organism, like amoeba, or one of our body cells, such as white blood cell.

◼In some forms of animal life, such as amoeba, phagocytosis is a means of nutrition.

✨How does it occur in Amoeba?

◼Amoeba forms a vacuole with its pseudopodia(false feet) around its food which is known as a food vacuole.

◼It engulfs the food particle into it and starts digesting it.

◼This is the way, it is provided nutrition.
