photosynthesis is a process of plants to make food(glucose)... green plants use CO2(carbon dioxide) from air through the small holes on the bottom of the leaves called stomata.l, water and minerals from soil which is absorbed by the roots through a semi-permeable. The process also requires the presence of sunlight which the plants get throught the green colour pigment on the leaves called chlorophyll, thus the reaction is photochemical reaction as it involves sunlight.....the equation is........6CO2 + 6H2O gives C6H12O6 + 6O2 + energy
