Human reproduction is any form of sexual reproduction resulting in human fertilization, typically involving sexual intercourse between a man and a woman. During sexual intercourse, the interaction between the male and female reproductive systems results in fertilization of the woman's ovum by the man's sperm.

The first step in the process of reproduction is fertilisation. When sperm comes in contact with an egg , it may fuse with it. This fusion is called fertilisation. Fertilisation results in the formation of zygote. The zygote divides repeatedly to give rise to a ball of cells. The cells then begin to develop into different tissues and organs of the body. This developing structure is called embryo. The embryo gets embedded in the wall of uterus for further developement. It gradually develops the body parts such as hands , legs etc...The stage of embryo in which all the body parts can be identified is called foetus. When the develpement of the foetus is completed, the mother gives birth to the baby.
