5. IT WAS FINALLY THE CONVECTION(THE NEWLY ELECTED ASSEMBLY BY THE JACOBINS) WHICH IN 1794 PASSED A LAW TO FREE ALL THE SLAVES 6. BUT NAPOLEON REINTRODUCED SLAVERY. 
7. HE WAS DEFEATED IN 1815 IN BATTLE OF WATERLOO. AND FINALLY SLAVERY WAS ABOLISHED IN FRENCH COLONIES IN 1848.
