Xylem transports water and solutes from the roots to the leaves, phloem transports food from the leaves to the rest of the plant. Transpiration is the process by which water evaporates from the leaves, which results in more water being drawn up from the roots.

Transportation plants is an interesting process. It includes the transport of all the nutrients and water to all parts of the plant for its survival. In case of plants, the biggest concern is the transport of water and it terminates at the limiting factor depending on its growth.
