Unification Germany

(A)The Frankfurt parliament failed in the purpose of unification of Germany under the leadership of king Wilhelm iv of Prussia. But from then on Prussia took on the leadership of the movement for national unification

(B) It's chief minister,Otto Von Bismarck , was the architect of this process. He carried out the movement for national unification with the help of the Prussian army and bureaucracy

(C) Bismarck was convinced that the unification of Germany could be achieved only by a princes and not by the people. He sought to achieve this aim by expanding Prussia into Germany.

(D) Bismarck followed a policy of blood and iron to fulfill his object of unificating Germany. Three wars were fought over seven years:

With Denmark

Austria

And France

These ended in Prussian victory, which completed the process of political unification

(E)On January 18,1871 in the royal palace of Versailles,the hall of mirrors,the king of Prussia Kaiser William I was crowned as the German emperor. This ceremony proclaimed to the world the birth of United German nation
