Water enter into the root hair through osmosis. From root hairs water move out trough osmosis or through the simple diffusion. From here the water enter into the xylem through endodermis. Water enters into the roots due to the negative potential of cells.

Answer :

The roots of plants have very thin hair like structures which are helpful during the process of photosynthesis as they observed the water present inside the soil.

The thing hairy like structures present inside the roots of plants gets or observes water through a process called osmosis which is spontaneous movement of water molecules through a selectively permeable membrane.

In this process , the water particles present inside the soil being highly concentrated than of the water particles present inside the root hairs , the water gets observed by the thin root hairs and is sent to the stem for further transportation.
