Answer:

Digestion is completed in small intestine.

Explanation:

The small intestine secretes digestive juices. It also receives juices from liver ( bile juice) which helps in the Digestion of fat into fatty acids. It also receives juices from pancreas ( pancreatic juice) which breaks down all the components of food in simpler forms. The intestinal juices completes the Digestion process. The carbohydrates get broken into simpler sugar such as glucose, fat into fatty acids and glycerol and proteins into amino acids.

The digested food from stomach passes into the blood vessels in the walls of the small intestine. This process is called absorption. The inner wall of the small intestine has thousands of finger like projections called villi (singular villus). It increases the surface area for absorption of digested food. Each villus has network of small blood vessels ose to its surface which transfers food to different parts of the body. There simpler substance are used to build complex substance such as protein. This is called assimilation.

In cells glucose breaks down with the help of oxygen into carbon dioxide and water and energy is released.
