Answer:Water is very useful in extinguishing fire as water decreases the temperature of the fire and the temperature goes below the IGNITION TEMPERATURE of the fire, causing it to get extinguished.

However,Water may not be used for extinguishing fire caused by electricity and oil.

1)Water is a conductor of electricity. Therefore, if we try to extinguish fire caused by electricity,we might get a shock.

2)Oil is lighter than water. Therefore,if we try to extinguish fire caused by oil,the oil will float on water and spread, causing the fire to increase.

Conclusion: Water is great for fire extinguishing, but not for the fire caused by electricity and oil.
