Explain the protein targeting to plasma membrane and peroxisomes.

The proteins are present in the ER, mitochondria, chloroplasts, Golgi, peroxisomes, nucleus, in the cytosol and in the membranes of all these organelles. They are selectively transported into their appropriate organelles inside the cell and across the plasma membrane to be secreted outside the cell.
