different types of maps plays a vital role in our day to day life for eg home map tells about the situated home acc.to map,state map tells us about the entire places in that particular state.. in the same way city map tells about the places in that particular city

There are three types of maps
1. Physical map - Maps that show us about physical features of a place such as hills mountains, valleys,plains deserts,ivers,lakes etc are physical maps.
2. Political maps- The maps which show us the political boundries of a place is caled political Maps.
3. Thematic Maps - These maps are special purpose maps these maps help us to show wildlife of a forest etc.
