the general reaction between metal and is
metal + acid - salt + hydrogen
thus we can say that metal when reacts with an acid produced respective salt and hydrogen gas is evolved
take an example
Zn + HCl - ZNCl2 + H2
metal + acid - salt + hydrogen
thus we can say that metal when reacts with an acid produced respective salt and hydrogen gas is evolved
take an example
Zn + HCl - ZNCl2 + H2

Metals react with acids to form metal salt and hydrogen gas.
When an acid is reacted with metal than the metal ions displace the hydrogen from the acid and form metal salt where the displaced hydrogen is released as hydrogen gas.
Ex - 2HCl + 2Na = 2NaCl +H2
2HCl + Mg = MgCl2 + H2
