balloons are filled with very light gases ex. like hellium and another kinds of light gases that's why due light in weight these gases goes upper in atmosphere so with gas balloons also rise up

Hot air is less dense than cool air the heated air causes the balloon to rise simply because it is lighter than an equal volume of cold air. Buoyancy is an upward force that the air exerts ,and its help the hot air balloons to stay in the air
