Rat hunt which was started in 1902.The french hired vietnamese workers and paid them for each rat they got it failed because rhe vietnamese discovered innovative way to make profit from this situation.The money was paid when a tail was given as a proof that an rat has been killed. So the rat catchers just use to cut of the tail and release the rat so that this process can keep on be repeated. Some people began raising rats to earn money. Defeated by the rat hunt the french were forced to scrup the programme.
