- The rapid growth in a population can be due to factors- birth rate and death rate. Other factors like fertility rates, poor education, age-old norms and early marriage system. As the medical conditions have been improved significantly than previous times, the death rates have been decreased along with the increase in birth rate factors. When the birth rate dominated the death rate, population increases.
- Overpopulation can lead to tremendous use of resources by the individuals resulting in depletion of resources leading to their extinction. There are resources which cannot be regained or is difficult to regain known as non-renewable resources. The higher use of these resources cannot be balanced with the incoming of these resources.
