So the movement called as amara Sullia swatantrya sangarama; and most of the rebellion also from the Sullia region.

  • Amara sullia movement was the first movement against British rule. It was also known as Kalyanappa Katakayi. In 1837 at Mangalore there was no Government and British captured the whole Mangalore. Kodagu Haleri was the leader of Coorg rebellion. He supported the war.
