when a bullet is fired from a gun,the gun moves back,opposite to the direction of the bullet fired. Before firing the bullet both gun and bullet are at rest but when it is fired the gun with bullet come in motion and the gun goes to the opposite direction of the bullet fired, as the bullet moves with a huge momentum the same momentum acts on the gun
