The reflex action is the body's rapid, involuntary response to external stimuli, often used in order to protect it from immediate harm. There are some examples of reflex actions:-
1) Batting of eyelids
2) Contraction of the pupils when exposed to light.

Reflex action are spotaneous automatic mechanical responses which are not under will and are controlled by spinal cord
ex- withdrawl of leg in a brainless frog when touched with rod dipped in acid or a live electric wire
