Hey mate
Here is your answer
Ram Mohan Roy has been overrated. Many of his reforms like abolition of Sati had taken before him, by Raja Jai Singh II in 1720. His supposed abolition of idolatry was no reform but an attempt to please his Christian masters. His Brahmo Samaj was intended to turn Hinduism into an Indian Church.
