The Reign of Terror
- Due to the policy of severe control and punishment followed by Maximilian Robespierre from the period of 1793-1794 which was referred to as a 'reign of terror.'

- Maximilian viewed ex-nobles and clergy, members of the other political party and even his own club members who did not agree with his method were called as enemies if republic. They were arrested, imprisoned and tied by a revolutionary tribunal where they were guillotined if they were found guilty.

Reign of terror is the term given to the oppressive rule of maxmillan robespierre in france after the monarchy was demolished. He used a policy of complete suppression in these ways

Social - he shut down all the churches and converted them to be used for government offices.

Political- he guillotined every one who dared to oppose him. Be it any political group including his own people 

Economical- he asked/forced every person to eat the regular bread or cheap bread.

Thus you can see.. every one was terrorized.
