1024 bytes = 1 KB
1024 KB = 1 MB
1024 MB = 1 GB
1024 GB = 1 TB
1024 TB = 1PB

FULL FORM

KB = Kilobyte
MB = Megabyte
GB = Gigabyte
TB = Terabyte
PB = Petabyte

The most common digital data storage unit is byte which is 8 bits. Computer data is expressed as byteskilobytesmegabytes as it is in the metric system, but 1kilobyte is 1024 bytes not 1000 bytes. Data storage units are: bitbytekilobyte(kb), megabyte (mb), gigabyte (gb), terabyte (tb), petabyte and exabyte.

bits , bytes , kB ,mb ,tb , gb are memory units used in computers

=> bits => smallest memory unit and is short for BINARY DIGIT it consist of 0 and 1

=> bytes => 1 byte = 8 bits

=> kilobytes (kB) = 1024 bytes

=> megabytes (mb) = 1024×1024 bytes or 2^10 kB

=> gigabyte (gb) = 1024×1024×1024 bytes or 2^10 mb

=>terabyte (tb) = 1024×1024×1024×1024 bytes or 2^10 gb

hope this helps
