The relationships between weather, climate, adaptation and evolution is as follows:

Explanation:

  • Weather is the daily state of the atmosphere in a region. It is a parameter which measures the condition of the atmosphere for the short period of time. Climate is the nearly constant condition of the weather in an area over a period of atleast 30 years.
  • Weather of a region may change according to the prevailing season the changes occurring in the season is likely to cause adaptations and evolution in living beings. As the climatic changes bring changes in the structure and function of organism which allow them to survive in their native habit.
  • These adaptations are beneficial for living beings and their traits are passed on to the next generation. This is the basis of evolution.
