Answer:

Subcultures can be an important source of identity, but the relationship between subcultures and the dominant culture is often one of power, meaning the status of individuals within the dominant culture may give them the power to define aspects of the subculture through a process of labelling

Answer:

The relation between subculture and dominant culture is mainly that subculture resists dominant culture. So practically the dominant culture's imperfections create a subculture that people participate in if they don't like the dominant culture. The beliefs of some dominant cultures are not accepted by some people, so they create their own culture, and its's called a subculture. Subcultures are normally small and the people following it have their own beliefs and ways of living. The dominant culture and the subcultures coexist side by side, but sometimes they don't understand each other and violence breaks out.
