Explanation:

banking is a service industry. in a service industry, the customer is the king (off the market) banks cannot exit without them. the purpose of bank is to create, win and keep customer.

the customer is is now becoming more and more informative about the banking service / product he has many expectations from his bankers (eg. regarding deposits, loans ,remittances, collections ,lockers ,attitudes ,punctuality, discipline etc. )

for bank rendering efficient customer service is becoming a way of life (as customers are at the centre of everything Bank do).

earlier , ensuring customer satisfaction was the objective of banks. in the present competitive and hi-tech scenario, the focus has shifted from customer satisfaction to "customer delight "this is well reflected in the banks schemes/ products/ service /performance.

the fulfilment of banks objective of "profit with growth "can be achieved by way of excellent/ quality services. this in fact is the the panacea (rambaan ).

a satisfied customer is the best salesman of a bank. a happy customer requirements the bank's product/ scheme/ services , but and happy one complain to many. similarly, a happy customer make it you three more, where as an unhappy one May drive away ten.

a customer expects his bank to provide him with efficient /quality service and customer friendly product /scheme at the right time .as you know, it is the quality of services that make the difference. the customer is concerned only with the quality (not the quantity.)

in all field of life prevention is better than cure. the proverb equally apply to customer service in banks.
