Sanitation and diseases are related to each other as lack of sanitation can cause disease.
Sanitation involves proper disposal of sewage and refuse from house and public places. If sanitation is there, no disease will occur, but if sanitation is not there various types of disease will occur and spread. So sanitation should be kept to avoid diseases.

Answer:
Sanitation and disease are closely related as lack of sanitation leads to unhygienic condition and ultimately disease. Proper sanitation is necessary to avoid certain kinds of disease. Where there is sanitation, there is no disease and vice versa.
