Concept of homeostasis:

  • For example, if we consider the peripheral chemoreceptors, it detects the change the blood pH.
  • There are two concepts here one is the sensor and the other is the integrating center.
  • The sensor which the detect the change in the internal or the external environment and can give the information to the integrating center which receives the response and initiates to maintain homeostasis.
  • Thus a relationship between the internal and the external environment is changed according to the responses this is the main concept of homeostasis
