The relationship between the two houses of parliament:
- The two houses include Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. They are responsible for making and formulating laws and policies for the country.
- Loksabha is responsible for checking the accountability of the Executives. Any bill placed in front of the house becomes law when passed in both the houses along with President's Signature.
- Thus, the house having lesser members belonging to the ruling party can check the dominance of the ruling party by not passing the bill. At the same time, the other house can suggest some new provisions that need to be included in the bill due to the paucity of time.
- Along with this, Rajya sabha put forth the demands of states and take care of the federal nature of democracy.
