Harsha is a great patron of Buddhism. Harsha became an exponent of the Mahayana form of Harsha, lived from 590 to 647 CE and was the last ruler of the Vardhana Empire, ancestors were Saivites, his father was a devotee of the sun, and his brother was a Buddhist. He was an author and wrote three Sanskrit plays, Nagananda, Ratnavali, Priyadarshik.Harsha was a worshiper of Shiva .
