Given :  infinite solutions to a pair of linear equations

To Find : required condition for infinite solutions

Solution:

Equation in the form

x/a  + y/b  = 1

a & b will have same vales for infinite solutions

=> x intercept and y intercept would be same

Equation in form

y  =  mx  + b

m & b  would be same

=> Slope  and  y intercept would be same

a₁x  +  b₁y + c₁ = 0

a₂x + b₂y + c₂ = 0

a₁/a₂ = b₁/b₂ = c₁/c₂
