- In Tonkin school, a Vietnamese girl was told to vacate her seat for a french girl
when she revolted against it, she was expelled.
This started the resistance movement in schools.
They formed 'Young Annanese' .
- Vietnamese students going to french school had to follow western culture by cutting their hair this offended them as long hair was their identity.
- Only a few Vietnamese who went to school could pass school not everyone could pass school. This rule was made so the Vietnamese didn't succeed.
