hey mate here is your answer....
The purpose of this chapter is to explore human development from its origins through to the advent of settled agricultural existence. Human settlement, based on the domestication of plants and animals, has long been identified as having occurred around 8000/7000 BC in ancient Iraq, This region is known to scholars as the Ancient Near East or as Mesopotamia. The latter term is the ancient Greek word for the land between two rivers, namely, the Euphrates and the Tigris. During prehistoric times the Ancient Near East functioned as a land bridge between Africa where modern humans originated around 200,000 BP and other regions of human habitation, including Eurasia, East Asia, Australia, and the Americas. According to the available evidence modern humans migrated from Africa as far as the Americas between 150,000 and 24000 BP. The evidence for these conclusions is susceptible to revision due to the accelerated pace of discovery during the past decade.
