Plants play a very important role in maintaining the ecological balance.
(i)They breath in carbon dioxide ( in the presence if sunlight )and release oxygen which supports all forms of life on the earth.
(ii) They helps in transpiration that creates clouds which causes rainfall.
(iii)They prevents soil erosion by binding itself with it so that it does not get washed away during rains or gets blown away by winds.
(iv)They acts as a habitat for birds that saves them from natural disasters.
