the alveoli is a sac like structure present at the end of the brochioles. Its outer surface is covered with arteries an veins. When we breathe the oxygen rich air trvels throgh the nostrils to nasal passage to trachea to bronchioles and then the alveoli where the arteies absorb the oxygen in the inhaled air and veins give the carbon dioxide rich blood which is thrown out
