HEY USER YOUR ANSWER IS HERE!!!
Appendix is a vestigial organ in the human body. (Vestigial- Non working). But it is said that in early times it performed the function of secreting digestive juice for breaking down the cellulose.
Question appears that why it stopped working?
The humans in the ancient times before the invention of fire used to hunt and eat raw flesh and that flesh contains cellulose and therefore for the breaking of the cellulose Appendix was required but after the invention of fire humans started burning flesh and it caused the absence of cellulose. The function of Appendix stopped and it became vestigial..
However it is not vestigial in the cows and buffaloes as they eat fodder which contains cellulose.
HOPE IT HELPS YOU OUT.
