They contain symbiotic bacteria called rhizobia within the nodules, producing nitrogen compounds that help the plant to grow and compete with other plants. When the plant dies, the fixed nitrogen is released, making it available to other plants and this helps to fertilize the soil.

Hey Mate !!! Here is your answer:-

There are some bacterias present in the root nodules of some plants to provide them sufficient amount of nutrition of a kind (ex - Nitrogen). In leguminous plants , a bacteria naming rhizobium is present which further helps in the fixation of atmospheric nitrogen into a nitrogenous compounds & this compound is then consumed by is then absorbed by the nitrogen. Some plants grown have deficiency in nitrogen , so after cultivating the field with normal plants the leguminous plants are grown to fulfill the nitrogen requirements.

Hope this helps you!!!!!☺️☺️☺️
