Constitution is the set of laws and rules according to which a State is governed. It defines and determines the following:-
1) The form of the government.
2)The powers to be exercised by the different branches of the Government.
3) Relationship between the government and the governed.
4) The rights and duties of the citizen.
Thus, the Constitution helps in proper governance of the State and to maintain law and order and finally keeping the democracy functional.
