Role of different hormones-
Pituitary gland- secretes Growth Hormone - responsible for growth.
Thyroid gland - releases thyroxine hormone responsible for maintaining thyroid level, Basal metabolic rate of body.
Parathyroid hormone - regulates calcium level of body.
Insulin- lowers blood sugar level.
Glucagon - increases blood sugar level.
Testosterone - male sex hormone - responsible for developing sex organs and secondary sexual characteristics in males.
Progesterone nd oestrogen - in females - responsible for maintaining menstrual cycle and maintaining uterus, pregnancy in females.
