Explain the role of gonadotropins.

Gonadotropins: Luteinizing and Follicle Stimulating Hormones. Luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) are called gonadotropins because stimulate the gonads - in males, the testes, and in females, the ovaries. They are not necessary for life, but are essential for reproduction. \\

Role of gonadotropins:  

  • Gonadotropin is the protein hormone. The pituitary gland from the brain helps in the formation of this hormone.
  • The gonadotropin is the hormone which maintains the normal functioning of the body right from regulating the normal growth to reproductive activity.
  • This hormone is the most important hormone. The deficiency of this hormone may cause various symptoms right from growth and maturity symptoms. Regular meditation or exercise can regulate these hormone.
