Man’s behavior is determined by the two factors environment and heredity. Heredity is a biological process that involves transmitting certain behavioral traits from parents to their children through a fertilized egg. The heredity traits are present in an individual since birth. On the other hand, as the name indicates, environmental traits are influenced by the environment. Some of them pass off over a period of time while some others remain. New environmental traits can also develop during a person’s life.

Answer:

We as a race are very proud of our culture and many things that go into making our so-called culture. We Indians indeed have many things to be proud of no doubt, especially many beautiful things that have been handed over to us through generations and centuries. Can we with equal pride declare that we have a great civic sense too? Certainly not. We as a country are very poor followers of our civic duties and have very poor civic sense.

Social ethics can exist only if the people of a society have a civic sense. Having civic sense makes a responsible citizen. The personality of a town or a city gets reflected through the civic sense of the people of that place. Respecting laws, good etiquette, paying taxes, keeping our surroundings clean all go into making good civic sense.
