Explain the role of histamine in providing defence against infection in human body

Histamine is produced in the body when the body comes in contact with certain allergens such as pollen grains, dust etc .When the body recognize any of these as antigen ,the body reacts by releasing histamine which causes allergy hence providing defence against infection
