Idiotypes, the unique and characteristic determinants of an immunoglobulin or T cell receptor, canfunction as antigens. Anti-idiotypicresponses, which include anti-idiotypicantibody-producing B cells andidiotype-specific T cells, form anetwork of immune cells that regulate their production.
