The Renin-Angiotensin System and Blood Pressure Control. The renin-angiotensinsystem or RAS regulates blood pressure and fluid balance in the body. ... Angiotensin II stimulates the release of the hormonealdosterone in the adrenal glands, which causes the renal tubules to retain sodium and water and excrete potassium.

1) renin secreted by JG cells convert angiotensinogen in blood to angiotensin i and future to angiotensin ii

2) angiotensin ii which is a powerful vascocontrictor , increase the glomerular blood pressure and ther by GFR

3) angiotensin ii also activates the adrenal cortex to release aldosterone which cause reabsorption of Na+ and water from the distal parts of tubule

4)aldosterone also leads to an increase in blood pressure GFR

hope it may help u
