Vinoba bhave often called Acharya (Sanskrit for teacher) ,he is best known for bhoodan movement. He is considered as a National Teacher of India and the spiritual successor of Mohandas Gandhi . The Gita has also been translated into Marathi language by him with the Geetai means mother Gita.

Role of Rukmini Devi in Vinoba Bhave’s life:
When he was born her mother Rukmini Devi named him Vinayak Bhave and Vinayak Bhave was very inclined by her mother's spiritual practices.
Role of Gita in Vinoba Bhave’s life:
He read Gita after her mother suggested to him and that gave a novel direction to his life.
Role of Mahatma Gandhi in Vinoba Bhave’s life:
Mr. Bhave met Gandhi in 1916 and was selected by him in 1940 to lead the first CDM against British efforts to mobilize India for World War II.
