The sun's heat helps in weathering of rocks. Wind acts as an agent to carry soil to various places. Sun And The Wind Influences The Formation Of The Soil In A Very Important Way. Over Thousands Of Years Wind Brings In Rocks And Tiny Particles From One Place To Another.

The sun is one of the important factors in causing physical weathering of rocks. During day time, the heat of sun heats

up rocks causing their expansion. At night, these rocks cool down and contract. This cycle of heating and cooling

continues with day and night. But, all the parts of a rocks do not expand or contract at the same rate. This causes

formation of cracks on the rocks resulting into their breakdown into smaller particles. In this way, the sun's heat is a

major factor in the formation of soil.
